Adwords Tips 

This is for your benefit.  These are some simple steps and rules to follow while using your own adwords account.  Any changes you make to your account make you 100% responsible. All accounts need data before making decisions on optimizations. This is just a general guide for your benefit. 

Keywords Types

  1. Broad Match (Avoid using)
  2. +Modified +Broad +Match
  3. “Phrase Match”
  4. [Exact Match]

Best One? Broadmatch Modified. Use it to minimize unwanted clicks. 

Also  use "phrase Match" But stay away from broad match.

Adgroups

  1. Write Very Specific Ad Groups
  2. Theres No such thing as too many ad groups.
  3. Never forget number 1.

Dont mix similar keywords with relevant keywords. 

Always Split Test Groups With Ads.

Ads

  1. Cap. Beg Of Every Word.
  2. Short & to the point
  3. Be creative

Important Terms To Understand
  1. Cost Per Conversion
    The Cost It Will Take To Get A Call, E-mail, or "hit" on your site based on the conversion setting within the account.
  2. Avg. Conversion Value
    The perceived value of a conversion.
  3. CTR
    This area is editable and you can use it to answer FAQs and troubleshoot any foreseeable issues.
  4. Clicks
    When someone touches or clicks on your ad regardless , if it was a lead or not. Yes, click fraud is real. I.E. Client gets 25 clicks but only 15 calls.
  5. Conversions
    A conversion is when someone does what you want them to do with your ad. Such as Duration of call, app downloads, forms submitted, & much more.
  6. Conversion Rate
    Conversion Rate = Total Number of Sales / Number of Leads * 100 Explained. Sheeri gets 56 sales out of the 100 leads she receives, thus, her conversion rate is 56%
  7. Quality Score
    Quality Score is Google's rating of the quality and relevance you account, Ads, keywords, website, & More.

What Not To Do.

  1. DO NOT USE ADWORDS EXPRESS
    Adwords Express is An Alternative to Adwords. It Is For Those who don't have the time to manage an actual adwords account. Meaning, they pay more and don't get the quality of results they are looking for.
  2. DON'T CHOOSE WRONG: DISPLAY OR SEARCH?
    Always try to use the search network. Know the type of marketing & how they are use in the search ad auction. Search is more targeted and is where we see the majority of success.
  3. FORGET THAT GOOGLE IS FOR PROFIT.
    Any suggestions you get from google about your account should be taken with a huge grain of salt. They are out to make money not give you the best for your buck. Don't Forget That. Watch for"recommendations" they may be of some good use but some just won't make sense, choose carefully.
  4. EXPECT TOO MUCH
    Adwords is an automated system and like most systems it has its flaws, click fraud, bad clicks, irrelevant search results. Things happen. To Minimize your risk get with an adwords-certified professional.
